Easy to assemble

Start by constructing the square frame using 2″x6″ boards, making sure to use butt joints (where two pieces of wood butt together at a 90 degree angle). Line the four sides of the frame up with each other and clamp them together. Next, cut the acrylic sheet to fit the openings in the frame, being careful not to cut Acrylic Light Box any of the corners. Once the box is completely assembled, you can begin cutting the openings. Leave the two open flaps attached to the front for now – these will function like barn doors.
Using a router, cut grooves in three of the side walls into which you can slide the acrylic sheet. Make sure the groove is about 5 mm deep and 8 to 10 mm lower than the other side walls.
